True Food App Reviews

For all the useless (though fun) apps there are on the market, here is one that everyone needs. Its one of the few tools we have as US consumers to protect ourselves from the not so hidden dangers of gm foods. I stand behind the makers of this app whole heartedly and will try my hardest to get the word out about it. It only takes a small percentage of people to stop buying before the food campaniles take notice so use this app, tell your friends about it, rate it five stars, and lets make that few percent change!

This is absolutely perfect and just what I wanted in a concise format. As a personal chef, I take my own health and that of my clients seriously. It all begins with what we put in and on our bodies. This app assists me in making powerful decisions for myself, with the latest info on GMOs, biotech companies activities, the governments action or lack of, connections to markets, csa farmstands, definitions, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love this app ever since I saw the movie Food Inc. Definatly a lot like this app!

So glad someone has made the effort to supply us, the consumers, with a way to eat more healthily.

This chemical attack through our food is why we are dumbed down to the point that we let our leaders rape and kill us and never fight back! Why us? Why the slow-kill weapons? Why so humane? A bomb would be better!

Im particularly impressed with all the information and ways this app allows you to retrieve updated information. This is not just a shopping guide, it is a way to be involved in what food you eat . I love the articles explaining GMOs and organic and that the Lists provide company information so you easily contact an tell companies what you want! Sweet!

I have wanted to learn more about GM products for years. It bothers me knowing that food I am eating is often probably genetically modified. This app goes beyond anything I have ever seen before in gm product info. Its a genius idea, and much appreciated. The interface is simple, and the text is easy to read. I especially like how you can copy and paste a lot, if not all of the text within the app. I will be using this app. I have noticed a typo on the second paragraph of the fruits & vegetables GMO tab. Still, 5 stars.

I like the idea of the app, and there is a great wealth of information. I just wish the guide was mode user friendly. I expected to be able to quickly search the info contained in the guide. Too bad.

Great app, but I find the numerous spelling errors and typos make it hard to take the app seriously. If they just went through and fixed their grammatical errors, it would be a great app!

Love and use it!!!! A great education tool and survival tool. Dont just complain, get educated and then complain in a way that will change the course of our paid and bought off govt officials. Its hard to see it as clearly as they are controlling our economy and health from the cellular level. This is not science fiction. Its breakfast, lunch and dinner and a mass of uneducated people who have been taught to rely on the very corrupt elected officials that have sworn to protect us. Education is the first and most effective line of defense.

But the search function doesnt work too well. Things like soyrizo (which is a real, and tasty product, bacon, spaghetti sauce, dont bring up anything. I do like the email/call links for brands that may contain GMOs, although I havent tested them all to see if they are the correct links.

I really enjoy this apps and all its great information. However, when I try to read one the articles in the whats new section, it just doesnt work. It goes to a new screen but only shows to title and no article. Help me out...update maybe?

I downloaded the software for my IPOD Touch, reviewed it, like it and cant wait to refer to it at the grocery store. I had no idea I was eating so many engineered and modified foods. Not any more!

I did my own study on Twitter, tweeting Popcorn companies to ask if their popcorn was genetically modified. Tostitos told me only their Organic Tortilla Chips were non-GM. Popcorn Indiana say there brand NEVER uses GM foods, while another brand (forgot the name, but its a new brand) admitted (stealthily) that its products were GM. So where are you guys getting your information from? You lose credibility for me, now. Unless Im not understanding something, I think your app is informative, but cant be relied upon to give truly accurate information. Ill delete this post if you prove me wrong in my interpretation.

This app is a wealth of information. GM food is so much worse than most people realize. The tumors, infertility, heartattacks and deaths in hamsters & lab rats that are fed GMO products are really scary.

Genetically modified crops are able to do some wonderful things for humanity. We must not reject this beautiful technology that can save lives and bring struggling 3rd world countries out of poverty and malnutrition. These GM crops are NOT harmful and NOT going to hurt you by consuming them. The amount of testing required by the FDA is so thorough that any allergies that one may worry about getting from a GM crop are very very unlikely. We have been genetically modifying crops for thousands of years by selectively breeding crops to allow them to benefit us more. GE is simple faster and more precise. I do AGREE that products should be labeled that they contain GM crops but consumers need to be aware that can save the environment from heavy pesticide use and decrease fuel use since farms dont have to fertilize/spray their fields as often. Educate yourself before forming an opinion please. And look at the whole picture before jumping to conclusions!

First, go watch a video like "The Future of Food" so you can better understand GMO and the big corporations behind it.
